I took this photograph just as thick snow clouds were beginning march their way across valley. The winds had picked up and they were carrying snowflakes which were hitting my cold face and worse still landing on my crispy clear lens. I had to race against time to capture the landscape and sky before it was too late!
Today I thought I’d try something different and add a ‘Oil Paint filter’ in photoshop. Yes there is no arguing here that this photo has been photoshoped but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Normally I’d keep these to myself but I was surprised at how well it turned out. I think it has a Van Gogh’sk feel to it? Coincidently he just happens to be my favourite artist (of the painting type). If I could afford his works it would have to be any of his Starry Night paintings.
